How To Be The Best Christmas Party Guest

Bring this appetizer. It will be a hit. A lady at my new job gave me this recipe last Friday just in time for me to send the ingredients to B and whip it up before my book club Christmas party that night.

8 Steps to Blue Cheese Pomegranate Guacamole/Being The Best Party Guest Ever

1. Chop (or have your wonderful husband chop while you're showering, drying, and straightening your hair) 3 Tbs, Cilantro, one Jalapeno, and 4 scallions.
2. Pour a huge glass of ice cold water. Drink it. Repeat. Always best to be prepared, especially when the book club girls are involved.3. Mash up three ripe avocados.

4. Mash 4 oz (a container) of blue cheese crumbles at room temperature into the avocados.

5. Mix in the green stuff that the hubs chopped while you were hydrating for the night. Squeeze some fresh lime juice over the top.

6. Top with the seeds from one pomegranate. Don't worry about the red juice that sprays all over your kitchen, a little elbow grease in the morning and you'll be fine.

7. Serve with tortilla chips and prepare to give out the recipe.

8. When your sister-in-law/hair cutter tells you that there's a piece of your hair that's been bugging her since she cut it, pull out the hostess's kitchen scissors (with her approval of course), and tell your SIL to go to town.

You'll be sure to get invited again next year. Or at least you'll be hired to bring the appetizers.
